Privacy Policy
In short: Your photos are edited directly on your device. We do not upload the images you edit to our servers, we do not sell your data, and we do not require an account to use the app.
Background Eraser Photo Editor (the “App”) is an offline photo-editing application offering background removal, passport photo creation, and related editing tools. This policy explains what information the App handles and how. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
The App is designed to work without collecting personal data on our own servers. Specifically:
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, or contact list to use the App.
The App requests permission to use your camera and to access your photo library so you can take or choose photos to edit. This access is used only for the editing features you actively start. The resulting images stay on your device unless you explicitly use a share or save action to send them somewhere else.
The App uses Google AdMob to display ads, which helps keep the App free. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process device information such as an advertising identifier, IP address, and general usage signals. This data is handled under Google’s own privacy policy, not ours.
You can review and manage this at Google’s advertising policy, and you can reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings under Google > Ads.
Edited photos and app preferences are stored on your device. Because we do not upload your images, we do not retain copies of them. You can remove edited images from your device gallery and clear the App’s stored data through your device’s system settings at any time.
The App relies on the following third parties, each governed by its own privacy policy:
When you use a share feature, the App passes the selected image to the destination app or service you choose; that service then handles the content under its own terms.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
